For
nearly 30 years, CIS has been a place where many different Canadian
and American Universities have sent groups to learn Spanish.
CIS is fully accredited through the Yucatan Secretary of Education
and therefore is accepted by all U.S. Universities.
We offer a
variety of options for college, university and other types of
groups, including custom designed programs in a wide range of
fields, classroom rentals, home-stay assistance. We also organize
cultural activities, excursions, conferences, and visits to different
local and international businesses and governmental agencies.
Since CIS is a full service language center, students immediately
are in contact with their Mexican peers providing an optimal learning
environment for international students wanting to learn Spanish
in a truly effective total immersión program. Over the
years dozens of colleges and universities have organized groups
to take CIS's carefully structured courses. All Spanish classes
at CIS include cultural enrichment content as part of our curriculum.
We also provide a wide variety of support services for group leaders
that range from logistical support for weekend activities to homestays,
classroom rental, special lectures and visits to local businesses
and institutions. CIS may arrange volunteer experiences for groups
of individuals and can help any group leader attain the special
focus his/her group requires.
As of July
of  2007,
CIS is now equipped with an air conditioned auditorium that seats
50 people. It also has digital projector and audio capabilities.
